Like few others in Europe, WALMAG MAGNETICS has a long history in manufacturing magnetic tools for the engineering industry. Czech manufacturing commenced in the 1960s. For 20 years, starting in 1991, the company was part of the international Walker Magnetics Group (USA) becoming independent in 2011. Today WALMAG MAGNETICS products are well known and used all around the world.
The history of WALMAG MAGNETICS can be traced along two lines. It goes back to 1960 in the Czech Republic, when a magnetic technologies division was founded. The American branch goes further back to 1896, when Oakley S. Walker invented the electromagnetic chuck and subsequently founded OS Walker company. Their road together starts in 1991.
LEADER CHUCK SYSTEMS were appointed their UK and Ireland sole agent and distributor for their workholding and clamping products.
