The EM-STAR is a range of electromagnetic chucks used for the grinding of ring shaped components facilitating inside, outside and face grinding seperately or in a single set up. The waterproof assembly comprises a solid machined body with firmly embedded coils and permanent magnets beneath a robust machined top plate with radial poles. The nominal holding force generated is 120 N/cm². A centring recess and mounting holes could be added by request and other options include top plate with T-slots, sets of pole shoes, auxilary top plate and a slip ring assembly and carbon brushes.
