The EPESTAR is a range of electro-permanent magnetic chucks used for the grinding and light turning of ring parts and annuli, hard turning of bearing races (high power only) machining the face and diameter in the same operation. The waterproof assembly comprises a solid machined body with firmly embedded coils and permanent magnets beneath a solid machined top plate with epoxy resin gaps. The nominal holding force generated is 140 N/cm².Available in two versions, full demag and high power both with a standard electrical connector located at the bottom centre, a centring recess and mounting holes could be added by request and other options include top plate with T-slots and sets of pole shoes.
